Terms of Service
**These terms of service govern every private day-boat charter you book through Baruna Boat Co at baliprivateboatcharter.com. Baruna Boat Co is an independent charter concierge operated by Bali Premium Trip; we arrange whole-boat trips with vetted, licensed vessel operators and do not own the boats ourselves. Booking with us means you accept the terms set out below.**
Last updated: as of 2026. We may revise these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you confirm your booking is the one that applies to that booking.
Who operates your boat, and what is Baruna Boat Co’s role?
Baruna Boat Co is a booking concierge and charter broker, not a shipowner. We match you with a suitable speedboat or cabin day-cruiser and coordinate your private day trip from Sanur, Serangan or Benoa to Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan and the south-Bali coast. The vessel, crew and captain are supplied by independent, licensed Indonesian marine operators that we have vetted.
That means two arrangements sit behind your trip: your booking agreement with Baruna Boat Co (operated by Bali Premium Trip) for arranging the charter, and the carriage itself, which is performed by the licensed operator that owns and crews the boat. Baruna Boat Co’s publisher entity is Juara Holding Group. Nothing on this page is legal, tax or insurance advice.
What does your quotation cover, and how long is it valid?
Every charter starts with a written quotation sent by WhatsApp or email. It names the vessel, capacity, departure point, itinerary, inclusions (fuel, crew, safety equipment, and any stated meals or snorkel gear) and the total per-boat price. Read it before you pay — once confirmed, the quotation is the controlling description of your trip.
Quotations are valid for 7 days from the date we send them, unless the quotation itself states otherwise. After that window, availability and pricing may change and we will requote. All per-boat prices on this site — typically IDR 8,000,000 to IDR 44,500,000 (roughly USD 500 to USD 2,500) for a full private day as of 2026 — are indicative “start from” figures, charged per boat rather than per person, and remain subject to change until locked in your written quotation.
How do the deposit and balance work?
We confirm a booking once we receive your deposit against a valid quotation. The balance is due before departure. Bank-transfer fees, card-processing charges and currency-conversion differences are the customer’s responsibility.
| Payment stage | When it is due | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit (50% of charter fee) | On confirmation, to hold your boat and date | Secures the vessel; refundable only under operator or weather cancellation |
| Balance (remaining 50%) | No later than 24 hours before departure | Cleared funds required before boarding |
| Hotel pickup add-on | With the balance | Transfer surcharge quoted per car, typically from IDR 250,000–300,000 |
What happens if you cancel — or the weather does?
Cancellations must reach us in writing by WhatsApp or email. The time we receive your message, not the time you sent it, sets the applicable fee.
| Notice before departure | Charge |
|---|---|
| 15 days or more | Deposit forfeited; any balance paid is refunded |
| 7–14 days | 50% of the total charter fee |
| 3–6 days | 75% of the total charter fee |
| Under 72 hours or no-show | 100% of the total charter fee |
Weather is treated differently. Conditions around the Badung Strait and Nusa Penida can shift quickly, and the crossing from Sanur takes only 30 to 45 minutes but runs across open water. If the licensed operator or captain cancels for unsafe conditions — high swell, strong wind, port-authority guidance or a small-craft warning — you are not charged a cancellation penalty. We will offer, in the order you prefer: a new date, a suitable alternative vessel, or a refund of monies paid to us less any non-recoverable third-party costs already committed on your behalf.
We do not guarantee weather, sea state or wildlife. Manta rays at Manta Point, visibility at Crystal Bay and Toyapakeh, and calm water off Kelingking or Broken Beach are natural conditions, never promises.
Who decides whether it is safe to sail?
The captain does, and that decision is final. Under standard Indonesian marine practice the captain holds full discretion over departure, route, stops and return timing for the safety of everyone aboard. The captain may shorten, reroute or end a trip; refuse boarding to anyone visibly intoxicated, unwell in a way that endangers them at sea, or unwilling to follow safety instructions; and require that life jackets be worn. These calls are made in your interest and do not, on their own, entitle you to a refund.
What are the limits of Baruna Boat Co’s liability?
Because Baruna Boat Co arranges rather than operates, our duty is to select a licensed operator with reasonable care and to represent your booking accurately. Seaworthiness, crewing, carriage and on-water safety are the licensed operator’s responsibility under its own operating licence and insurance.
To the extent Indonesian law allows, Baruna Boat Co’s total liability for any single booking is capped at the total charter fee you paid to us for that booking. We are not liable for injury, loss or delay caused by weather, sea conditions, third-party acts, or your own failure to follow crew instructions. This does not exclude any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers water activities, and ask that you confirm your own medical, pregnancy and swimming fitness before booking.
What do we expect from you on board?
A private charter is a shared responsibility. By booking, you agree that everyone in your party will:
- Follow all safety briefings and captain and crew instructions at all times;
- Wear provided life jackets when required, and supervise children continuously;
- Not board or remain aboard while heavily intoxicated, and consume alcohol only where the operator permits it;
- Bring no illegal substances, weapons or unpermitted equipment aboard;
- Treat the vessel, crew and marine environment with care — no littering, and no touching or feeding marine life at Manta Point or Crystal Bay;
- Accept responsibility for damage caused by your party’s misuse or negligence.
How do we handle your personal data?
To arrange a charter we collect the booking details you give us: name, contact number, email, guest count, pickup address and payment reference. We process these to deliver your trip and to meet the licensed operator’s passenger-manifest and safety requirements.
Baruna Boat Co handles personal data in line with Indonesia’s Personal Data Protection Law (Undang-Undang No. 27 Tahun 2022, “UU PDP”). If you contact us from the EU, UK or wider EEA, we also honour the access, correction, deletion and objection rights recognised under the GDPR. We share your details only with the licensed operator and the payment processors needed to fulfil your booking, and we keep them only as long as required for the trip, our records and Indonesian legal obligations. To view, correct or delete your data, message us on the contacts below.
How do these terms apply, and how do you reach us?
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, and any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of Denpasar, Bali. If any clause is found unenforceable, the remaining terms stay in force.
